Communication System

CWT has always a communication exchange between two stations, a transmitter, and a receiver.

Is modeled as a system in the communication system. Information or signals go across a channel from source to destination. It illustrates how the signal employs it as it travels from a source to its destination. Signals must first be processed before being transmitted in a communication system. This processing should start with signal representation and continue through signal shaping, encoding, and modulation. The prepared sent signal is then passed to the channel's transmission line. This medium's limitations on signal transmission include noise, attenuation, and distortion.

Communication refers to the exchange of information between two points. The transmitter, the medium, and the receiver, who will receive the information on the other end, are the three essential components required for communication.

Communication System Types

Depending on the infrastructure in place: There are two categories of communication systems based on physical infrastructure: Line communication systems: These systems transmit data from one location to another by using the existing infrastructure of power lines. Radio communication systems employ the radio wave infrastructure to transmit data from one location to another. Inline communication systems have a physical connection between the transmitter and receiver known as a hardwire channel.

Depending on the signal's specifications: The following signal parameters are used to determine the kind of communication system: Based on the nature of the sent signal, the baseband signal can either be broadcast as-is without modulation or through a carrier signal with modulation. Baseband signals are a technique that can access communications with very low frequency and also near zero frequency. Communication systems are further classified into:

Analog communication systems: Using analogue signals, the analogue system transmits data from voice, video, and pictures between two sites. An analogue communication system is an example of a sinusoidal signal.
Digital communication System: In the age of the internet, digital communication has taken on a lot of significance. It involves a discrete physical transfer of information between two places. Digital signals are used for information exchange.

Baseband Communication System: Baseband communication is the transmission of signals at lower frequencies without signal amplification. They aid in the transmission of signals with almost no frequency. Carrier Communication System: By increasing the frequency significantly higher than the real rate, carrier communication systems transfer information, in particular voice messages and calls. To specify any communication system, at least two of the four categories must be present. In order to specify a communication system, at least one type from each group must be present, creating two groups made up of each of the two types. These teams may be organised as, systems for analogue and digital communication

Systems for baseband and carrier communications Any communication system must include four of the eight categories to be fully defined. The communication system's description will be lacking if any kind is absent. Systems for wired and wireless communication In order to communicate from one point to another, wireless communication systems use radio waves, electromagnetic waves, and infrared waves, whereas wired communication systems use wire and optical fiber that utilises the phenomena of total internal reflection.

Satellite, ground, skywave, and space wave communications are additional categories for wireless communication. With the aid of a transponder, satellite communication takes signals from the earth and retransmits them to another location on the planet. Parallel wire, twisted wire, optical fiber, and coaxial wired communication are other categories for wired communication.
